Arnold Police issued summons for municipal charges of stealing to a 49-year-old man and 39-year-old woman, both from Florissant, after they did not pay their cab fee. The two had used Laclede Cab to travel from the Pear Tree Inn, 1201 Drury Lane, to St. Louis and back to the hotel, police reported.
Officers were called by the cab driver, a 54-year-old St. Louis man, at about 12:20 p.m. April 30 to the hotel. The driver said the pair did not pay the $125 fare, the report said.
Officers found the two in a hotel room, and they allegedly could not provide a reasonable explanation for not paying the fare, according to the report.
