Arnold Police are seeking a 46-year-old Old Monroe man who allegedly slammed a car into a utility pole near a home in the 2900 block of Arnold Tenbrook Road. The incident occurred Nov. 21, just after midnight, authorities reported.

Police responded to the accident at 12:08 a.m., and the Old Monroe man allegedly fled from the 2004 Saturn that had hit the pole. The damage was severe enough that the pole had to be replaced, costing about $10,000, the report said.

The owner of the Saturn told authorities the car had been loaned to the Old Monroe man several months ago. The owner, however, said the suspect now lives in Arnold, according to the report.

As of Nov. 29, police had been unable to contact the suspect, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
