fatal shooting

Willie Hall, 17, of St. Louis was shot and killed and an 18-year-old who was with Hall was wounded by a gunshot Wednesday evening (Feb. 24) after they allegedly forced their way into a Wildwood home, authorities reported.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said it will not seek charges for the shooting because it was determined to be justified after the teenagers allegedly broke into the home in the 1100 block of Eagle Creek Road.

St. Louis County Police were called at 7:53 p.m. to the home after the shooting, and police reported that Hall and his teen companion both had been shot. Hall died at the home, and the 18-year-old was taken to an area hospital with a non-life threatening injury, the report said.

Four people were inside the home when the teens allegedly forced their way inside, and an altercation led to the shooting, the police said.

St. Louis Police said the people involved in the altercation knew each other.
