Arnold Police are trying to identify two people suspected of stealing $24,780 worth of roofing materials from outside a building at 123 Manufacturers Drive, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said.

A trailer believed to have been used during the theft was later found outside a home in the 2400 block Starling Airport Road. The flatbed trailer belongs to Sielfleisch Roofing in Fenton, the report said.

Officers confirmed the trailer was the same one used in the theft because it had a mounted toolbox, and the sides of the trailer were cut off and extended with welded braces and boards mounted on the sides, according to the report.

At about 6:40 p.m. April 8, the trailer reportedly was seen in surveillance video being towed by a white Ford pickup onto the parking lot of the building on Manufacturers Drive in Arnold. Then, two people wearing green clothing got out of the pickup and allegedly loaded a pallet of insulation and 24 rolls of TPO roofing material onto the trailer before driving away, Arnold Police reported.

The trailer was found on April 21 outside the Arnold home, the report said.

As of May 2, the stolen materials had not been recovered, Valentine said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
