The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of lawn equipment and tools from a shed in the 1800 block of Mothershead Lane in the De Soto area. The items were valued at $1,110, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

The theft happened between about 4 p.m. Aug. 11 and about 7:20 a.m. Aug. 12, the report said.

The victim said he found the door to his shed open and a screen forced out of a side window. Stolen items included a Stihl leaf blower, an Echo backpack leaf blower, a Husqvarna chainsaw, a Husqvarna weed eater, a Stanley tool box, a five-gallon gas can and an Echo chainsaw, according to the report.

As of Sept. 3, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and no suspects been identified, Sheriff’s Offices spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
