The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at Holland’s Meat Market and Cafe, 40 New Sugar Creek Road, in Fenton, where a gaming machine cash box was stolen. The burglary happened between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13 and 7 a.m. Aug. 14, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The investigation uncovered pry marks on the bottom of the front door, the cash box from the gaming machine missing and damaged particle board surrounding the gaming machine. A total of $300 in cash was missing from the gaming machine, and the gaming machine cash box was gone. The business did not own the gaming machine, according to the report.
The stolen items and damage to the particle board was estimated at $1,950, the report said.
Sgt. Matthew Moore said Aug. 20 that the stolen items had not been recovered and no arrests had been made. Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
