Ruth Ann Martin, 65, of High Ridge, who had been missing since May 25, has been found dead.
Her body was found Thursday (May 31) in her pickup parked at a retail complex in the 1000 block of Wolfrum Road in Weldon Spring in St. Charles County.
As of today (June 1), the cause of death is unknown, although foul play is not suspected, St. Charles County Police reported.
The medical examiner is now investigating, said Val Joyner, public information officer for St. Charles County Police.
Joyner said it could take some time, perhaps several weeks, to determine the cause of death.
Martin was last seen by her husband at 6:45 May 25 at their home in the 5200 block of Ivy Trail Court, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Her husband said he spoke with her by phone at 4:56 p.m. that same day. He also told authorities that his wife did not have her medication with her, the report said.
At 3:15 p.m. Thursday, St. Charles County Police were called to the Weldon Spring complex after Martin’s body was found inside the pickup.
“Witnesses reported seeing the truck in the parking lot for a couple of days,” St. Charles County Police reported.
Joyner said St. Charles County Police do not know why Martin was in Weldon Spring.
“The St. Charles County Police Department would like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ruth A Martin,” the report said.
