Festus Police are investigating the theft of lawn equipment from Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, 1233 American Legion Drive. The items were stolen from a shed on the church property, Police Chief Tim Lewis said.
He said the theft was discovered Aug. 12.
“A church member or employee stated a shed had been broken into between the evening of Aug. 11 and the morning of Aug. 12,” Lewis said. “It looked like there had been forced entry. Some lawn equipment was missing.”
He said the stolen items were valued at $500.
Anyone with information about the theft is urged to call Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
