A pickup, trailer and mower that belongs to a lawn-care business recently was stolen from outside a home in the 8100 block of Willow Haven Road in Dittmer. The pickup was unlocked, but the keys were not inside it when it was stolen, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
At about 3 a.m. Oct. 5, the victim heard his white 2004 Ford F-450, which has a green and black NLC Lawn logo on its doors, start up, and then he discovered someone had driven it away. The pickup was hauling a black 2012 dump-bed trailer with the same logo on it, and a red 2020 Ferris lawn mower was in the trailer. Altogether, the lawn equipment was valued at about $45,000, the report said.
As of Oct. 7, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
