An Imperial juvenile allegedly took his family’s SUV without permission and struck two homes in the 2300 block of Seckman Spring Court. He also crashed the SUV into one of the home’s garages, damaging a van, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Officer reported.
Deputies were called at about 4:50 a.m. May 1 about a stolen 2008 BMW X5 that was involved in an accident. When they arrived, deputies found the SUV stuck in a garage wall, the report said.
Witnesses told deputies the juvenile returned to his home after the accident, according to the report.
Along with the damage to the garage wall the SUV went through, a 2013 Honda Odyssey parked inside the garage was damaged. The other home that was struck had a damaged foyer, windows, shutters and mailbox, the report said.
The juvenile was arrested and turned over to juvenile authorities, spokesman Grant Bissell said.
The Sheriff’s Office did not release the juvenile’s age, and it did not report approximate costs to repair the damage at the two homes.
Antonia Fire Protection District Deputy Chief Bobby Chrisco said no structural damage was found at either home.
