House Springs man charged with alleged drug possession

Jacob Elishah Moore

Jacob Elishah Moore, 27, of House Springs has been charged with two counts of alleged drug possession. He allegedly was found with capsules and tablets that tested positive for illegal substances when Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance at a House Springs home, court records show.

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on June 18 charged Moore with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, each one a class D felony that each carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison, according to court documents.

Moore was arrested on June 24, and as of Tuesday, July 1, he was being held on a $20,000 surety-bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court records said.

Deputies were called on Sept. 2, 2024, to a home in the 4800 block of Eva Rue Lane in House Springs because of a disturbance. A deputy found Moore with 30 capsules and seven tablets, the case’s probable-cause statement said.

Moore allegedly told the deputy the capsules and tablets were “Molly,” the report said.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol lab test, the tablets tested positive for alprazolam, a schedule IV narcotic, and the capsules tested positive for fentanyl.
