The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of items worth about $2,400 from a De Soto-area shed that was hit by at least 18 bullets. The incident occurred between July 22 and July 24 in the 4100 block of Wilkinson Road south of De Soto, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies were called to the scene after the victim noticed holes in the side of his shed. The holes appeared to have been caused by bullets, the report said.
A tie gun worth $2,200 and a generator worth $200 were stolen from the shed. The damage to the shed was estimated at $400, according to a report.
As of July 31, none of the stolen items had been recovered and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
