Arnold Police arrested an 18-year-old Imperial woman and two juvenile boys after they allegedly were found drinking alcohol in a car in the parking lot outside Target, 3849 Vogel Road. Officers also allegedly found a substance believed to be methamphetamine in the car the suspects were found in, and a third juvenile boy is suspected of helping the woman steal alcohol from the department store, police reported.

Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said the department will not release any more information about the juveniles other than that they are boys.

Officers were called at about 12:40 p.m. Feb. 18 after someone allegedly saw the woman and two boys drinking and using drugs while sitting in a 2016 Ford Fusion. When officers arrived, they allegedly saw numerous alcohol bottles in the car, the report said.

After arresting the woman and two boys, officers were contacted by a Target employee who showed them surveillance video that allegedly showed the woman and an unidentified boy hiding alcohol under their clothes and walking out of the department store, according to the report.

As of Feb. 24, police had not identified the boy in the surveillance video, Christopher said.

After arresting the woman and two other boys, the Fusion was towed. A police dog inspected the outside of the car and indicated there may be illegal drugs inside it, the report said.

Officers allegedly found a bag containing meth inside the car, according to the report.

The woman was taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and released pending application for charges. The two boys were released to their guardians at the store, and their cases were turned over to juvenile authorities, Arnold Police reported.

Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance, a minor in possession of alcohol and shoplifting, Christopher said.
