A 31-year-old Imperial woman recently was arrested for allegedly assaulting a man who tried to detain her for driving carelessly with children in her vehicle, Arnold Police reported.
The woman also allegedly resisted arrest, assaulted a police officer nd possessed marijuana and drug paraphernalia, the report said.
At about 9:30 p.m. July 18, the man, who was 27 of Arnold, allegedly saw the woman speeding at Astra Way and Old Lemay Ferry and followed her to the 1900 block of Melody Lane, where he tried to detain her until police arrived, and the woman reportedly bit the man, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
When officers tried to get her out of her vehicle, she allegedly resisted and had to be physically removed, Ruckman said.
Officers also allegedly found her with a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, the report said.
She was booked and released on summonses to appear in Municipal for assault, assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, endangering the welfare of a child, drug possession and careless and imprudent driving, according to the report.
