The partially burned body of an Imperial man was found the morning of Feb. 1 in the city of St. Louis, and the city’s police force has categorized the death as “suspicious.”
According to a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department report, the body of Jonathan Allen Nichols, 29, was found at 9:39 a.m. in the 5000 block of Geraldine Avenue in north St. Louis.
Officers, as well as members of the department’s Homicide and Bomb and Arson divisions responded. The Homicide Division took over the investigation.
As of today (Feb. 7), the St. Louis Medical Examiner’s Office had not determined the cause of death, the report said.
