Christopher Donald “Chris” Robertson, 40, of Imperial has been charged with several felonies for allegedly molesting two girls who were not older than 16 at the time, according to court records.
From August 2017 to May 2018, Robertson allegedly had inappropriate sexual contact with the two girls at an Imperial home, the probable-cause statement said.
One of the alleged victims told police the first time Robertson had inappropriate contact with her was at the start of her sophomore year of high school in August 2017. The second time Robertson allegedly forced himself on her was during a weekday break from school a few weeks after the first incident, the report said.
The alleged victim said a third incident occurred after New Year’s on a weekend day in 2018. Two more incidents allegedly occurred between April 2018 and May 2018, according to the report.
She also said Robertson allegedly told her “he would find her when she was 18 years old,” the report said.
Another girl told police that Robertson had inappropriate sexual contact with her in the spring of 2018, according to the report.
On March 11, Robertson was charged with second-degree rape, a class E felony; two counts of second-degree sodomy, a class D felony; first-degree sexual misconduct, a class B misdemeanor; along with other charges, court documents show.
A class D felony is punishable by up to seven years in prison, a class E felony is punishable by up to four years in prison and a class B misdemeanor is punishable by up to six months in jail and a fine not to exceed $1,000.
As of today (March 23), Robertson was being held in Jefferson County Jail on a $40,000 cash-only bond, jail records said.
