Pevely Police arrested a 45-year-old Imperial man for allegedly damaging items at the Super 8 by Wyndham hotel. He was arrested after police responded to the hotel, 1711 Hwy. Z, following a hang-up call from the Super 8, Police Chief Mark Glenn said.

The person called at about 1:55 a.m. April 7. At the hotel, a witness told officers the suspect “was walking around with a lamp post and frightening other guests,” the report said.

In addition, a hotel employee said the suspect had damaged several items, including multiple door locks and interior doors, several light fixtures and other room amenities. The damage was estimated at $1,250, Glenn said.

The suspect was booked and then released pending application for warrants. Pevely Police will seek first-degree property damage charges, Glenn said.
