A Hillsboro man and an Arnold woman, both 26, recently were arrested for allegedly stealing $23.80 in items, including candy bars and soda, from the Arnold Walmart store, says Capt. Robert Ruckman of the Arnold Police Department.

At 8:20 p.m. Oct. 9, Arnold Police got a call about the shoplifting incident and when officers arrived at the store, they found that the man already was wanted on outstanding warrants from Arnold for destruction of private property, from Jefferson County for domestic assault and driving with no insurance and no seat belt, and in Pevely for driving with no insurance, Ruckman said.

The woman was issued a summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for misdemeanor stealing and then released at the scene, Arnold Police reported.

The man was transported to the Arnold Police Department, booked and held for Pevely, Ruckman said.
