The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is trying to find a 19-year-old Hillsboro man who allegedly drove a pickup through the Hillsboro Little League fields, leaving ruts in the infields and outfields. The damage was estimated at about $3,000, authorities reported.

On May 6, four Hillsboro Little League board members were eating dinner together when they were told a late 1990s pickup was driving through the fields at 9855 Hwy. BB northwest of Hillsboro. When they arrived at the facility, they saw the pickup leave and followed it to a Hillsboro home, the report said.

The board members said they confronted the teenager, who then left. Another man called the Sheriff’s Office, and when a deputy arrived at the home, he allegedly saw the pickup covered with dirt and mud. The teen, however, was not there, but the teen’s mom provided contact information, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

As of May 16, deputies had not located the teen, spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
