A 42-year-old High Ridge man was arrested for reportedly burglarizing D&S Car Wash Systems. The man allegedly broke glass in a front door to get inside the High Ridge-area business and steal items, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The Sheriff’s Office got a call about the burglary around 2 a.m. Nov. 22 after the alarm was triggered at the business, 4200 Brandi Lane. When deputies searched the building, they discovered multiple desk drawers had been opened, and they found the man hiding in a bathroom, the report said.
An employee told deputies a Hewlett-Packard laptop computer and a Bose CD player, together valued at about $2,500, were missing from the business. A deputy found the stolen items behind the business later that day, according to the report.
The suspect was taken to Jefferson County Jail where he was booked. The Sheriff’s Office will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for second-degree burglary, spokesman Grant Bissell said.
