A 27-year-old High Ridge man was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated. He was seen early in the morning driving away from two closed businesses in High Ridge, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

At about 1 a.m. April 27, a deputy saw a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro parked between two closed businesses in the 2400 block of Gravois Road. When the deputy drove toward the car, the man started to drive away, the report said.

The deputy stopped the Camaro, and the man driving the car allegedly said he was parked between the businesses because he needed to urinate. The deputy believed the man was showing signs of impairment, and conducted field sobriety tests, according to the report.

The man allegedly failed the field tests. He was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, where he was booked and released, the report said.

The man was issued a summons to appear in Jefferson County Municipal Court for alleged DWI, Capt. Matt Moore said.
