Eureka Police are investigating the theft of gasoline, taken between about 11 a.m. and 7:20 p.m. July 25, when fuel was syphoned from two vehicles parked at a commuter lot at Hwy. 66 and Six Flags road.
Police were called to the lot when a 63-year-old Catawissa woman returned to her car, a 2009 Chevrolet Impala, and found a plastic jug under the vehicle placed below where the fuel line had been cut.
The same thing happened to a 2004 Toyota RAV4, owned by a 60-year-old St. Peters man, which was parked near the Impala, police reported.
Authorities did not know how much fuel was syphoned from the vehicles, the report said.
As of Aug. 3, there were no suspects, Capt. David Wilson said. Anyone with information about the incident should call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
