Arnold Police have identified a St. Louis man as a suspect after a 2016 Ford F-150 was stolen from outside a home in the 1200 block of Telegraph Road. The pickup was unlocked and the keys were inside it, police reported.
The suspect, whose age was not provided, was identified following an investigation into the theft and charges were requested on March 20. As of Wednesday, March 27, the suspect had not been arrested or questioned, and the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office had not filed charges against him, Detective Lt. A 70-year-old Arnold man said he started the pickup at about 6:30 a.m. March 20 to let it warm up. He said he turned off the engine but left the key in the ignition and the pickup unlocked when he went inside for about a minute, the report said.
As of Wednesday, the pickup had not been recovered. Arnold Police did not provide an approximate value for the F-150.
