Arnold Police are searching for the driver of a white Ford Escape after the car allegedly struck a motorcycle at the intersection of Jeffco Boulevard and Hwy. 141. The driver of the Escape drove away after knocking the rider and motorcycle down, police reported.

A 70-year-old St. Louis man told police he was riding a 1966 Harley-Davidson south on Jeffco Boulevard at about 12:45 p.m. April 24 when he stopped in traffic at a red light in the right turn lane near the intersection to Hwy. 141, the report said.

The motorcycle rider said the Escape started backing up and hit the front of his Harley-Davidson. The driver of Escape then turned onto northbound Hwy. 141, according to the report.

No injuries were reported for the motorcycle rider. Arnold Police reported the cost to repair the Harley-Davidson was not known.

As of May 1, the driver of the Escape had not been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the accident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
