A 28-year-old Jacksonville, Fla., man and a 31-year-old Greenville, Ill., woman were arrested after allegedly trying to use counterfeit money to pay for food at the Qdoba restaurant, 905 Arnold Commons Drive. The incident happened Nov. 18, Arnold Police reported.
At about 4:55 p.m., police were called to the restaurant after the pair allegedly tried to pay with a fake $100 bill. Police also allegedly found another fake bill in the woman’s purse and another fake bill in the car the pair was driving. Police also alleged found in the car receipts from a Sally Beauty supply store and a different Qdoba in St. Louis County, the report said.
The man and woman were arrested and taken to the Police Station, where they were booked before being turned over to St. Louis County Police. Arnold Police also reported the serial numbers from the fake bills to the Secret Service, according to the report.
Arnold Police will seek counterfeiting charges against the man and woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
