Festus Police are investigating the recent theft of fishing gear and tools from a home’s detached garage in the 600 block of Moore Street.
Chief Tim Lewis said the victims reported the theft at 4:45 p.m. Sunday (June 4), two days after they noticed the items gone from their garage.
“I guess they were looking for them before they decided (to report the theft,” Lewis said. “They believe they went missing between May 29 and June 2. The door to the garage was shut, but unlocked.”
