Firefighters work to extinguish a fire that destroyed a shed and pergola at this home on Ridgeview Drive.

A shed and nearby pergola were destroyed by fire in the 4900 block of Ridgeview Drive west of Arnold. The fire started after debris from a burning leaf pile was blown into the shed, the Rock Community Fire Protection District reported.

Rock Fire got a call about the blaze at approximately 4:35 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, and Saline Valley Fire Protection District firefighters were the first to arrive on the scene, finding the shed well involved in fire, the report said.

Firefighters from the two districts extinguished the blaze, keeping it from spreading to two nearby homes. The scene was cleared at about 6:20 p.m., according to the report.

No one was in the shed when it caught fire, and no injuries were reported.

Rock Fire investigators ruled the fire accidental, spokeswoman Stephanie Jackson said.

The Rock Township Ambulance District also responded to the scene.
