A mobile home was extensively damaged by fire the morning of Jan. 4 in the 200 block of Starling Community mobile home court, Rock Community Fire Protection District reported.
No one was home at the time of the fire, which a passerby reported at about 7 a.m.
No one was injured, Rock Fire reported.
Firefighters had to force entry into the mobile home, and they discovered the kitchen and living room areas on fire. The blaze was under control in about 20 minutes, and the fire did not spread to any adjacent homes, the report said.
Mehlville Fire Protection District assisted on the call.
Arnold Police reported that a preliminary investigation ruled the fire accidental, with Rock Fire continuing to investigate the cause.
