A 33-year-old Fenton man, a prior offender, was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after he allegedly was spotted recklessly driving in a hotel parking lot. The incident occurred at 1:24 a.m. June 12 at the Drury Inn, 3800 Hwy. 141, Arnold Police reported.
An officer reportedly saw a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer speeding through the parking lot. The officer who pulled over the driver said he appeared intoxicated, the report said.
The driver allegedly failed a field sobriety test, and he was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where his previous arrest for DWI was discovered, according to the report.
The man was booked and later released to a sober driver pending application for warrants. Arnold Police will seek a DWI charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office because of the man’s previous arrest, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
