Arnold Police are seeking felony charges against a 35-year-old Arnold man for allegedly fleeing from an officer who tried to pull him over. The man already was known to Arnold Police for other alleged offenses, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
Just before 11 p.m. Sept. 30, an Arnold Police officer reportedly spotted the suspect at Jeffco Boulevard and St. John’s Church Road driving a maroon GMC Safari without license plates. The officer tried to stop the man, but he allegedly refused to pull over and fled, headed south on Jeffco out of the city limits where the pursuit was ended, a report said.
Arnold Police identified the man as a suspect. He allegedly had fled from Arnold Police before and after the Sept. 30 incident, Jones said.
In addition, the man was wanted on outstanding warrants for felony drug charges, Jones said.
Arnold Police are seeking charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for felony resisting arrest and traffic violations. As of Wednesday (Nov. 1), the suspect had not been taken into custody, Jones said.
