Eureka Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly broke into a car in a parking lot on Williams Road. The theft occurred about 10:15 a.m. March 8, the report said.
A black bag, prescription medication, a gift card and $7 in cash reportedly were stolen from the car, a 2012 Volkswagen Passat, according to the report.
Lt. David Wilson said the male victim had placed his car keys behind a tire rim with his doors locked and windows partially open, and it appeared the thief used the key to get into the car.
