Eureka Police patch

Eureka Police are investigating the theft of a car from outside a home in the 900 block of Summit Oaks Drive. The 2014 Chrysler 300 was worth an estimated $10,000, police reported.

The victim, a 41-year-old Imperial woman, said the car was last seen outside the home at about 2 a.m. Sept. 30. She said she had left the doors unlocked and the keys inside the car, the report said.

Surveillance video showed a Porsche parked outside the home at about 5:50 a.m. Sept. 30 before both the Porsche and Chrysler were driven away, according to the report.

As of Oct. 9, the Chrysler had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Capt. Michael Werges said. Anyone with information about the theft should call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
