Eureka Police are investigating the theft of a commercial dryer and two mini refrigerators from outside the Super 8 hotel, 1733 W. Fifth St. Together, the items were valued at $2,000, police reported.
The hotel owner, a 55-year-old Eureka man, said the dryer and refrigerators were stored in an unsecured, partially-enclosed concrete area behind the hotel. He said the items were in the storage area at about 10 a.m. June 6, but they were gone when he returned to the area at about 3 p.m. that day, the report said.
As of June 17, none of the items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Lt. Michael Werges said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
