A 20-year-old De Soto man died following a side-by-side crash that injured three other Jefferson County men in Shannon County on May 3, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6 p.m., a 24-year-old Festus man was driving a westbound 2023 Can-Am side-by-side on County Road 514 when it slid off the left side of the road and overturned, ejecting one of the occupants, the report said.
The 20-year-old De Soto man was transported by aircraft to Mercy Hospital Springfield where he was pronounced dead at 8:22 a.m. May 4, the report said.
According to the report, the driver and two 18-year-old passengers, one from De Soto and the other from Hillsboro, had minor injuries and declined medical assistance.
None of the occupants or the driver were wearing safety devices, and the vehicle had moderate damage, the report said.
