Crystal City Police are reviewing surveillance footage of a fight involving several people on Monday evening (Feb. 8) outside a gas station to identify participants and decide whether to seek charges. One suspect was taken into custody Monday night after he allegedly ran from police, Sgt. Kyle Boyer said.
“At about 5 p.m., several males were trying to fight each other on the parking lot of BP (801 N. Truman Blvd.),” Boyer said. “We sent a couple of units. It involved adults.”
He said the group disbanded, and the people involved drove away from the scene in separate vehicles. Surveillance footage from the convenience store is being used to identify participants.
At about 11 p.m., one suspect was spotted and taken into custody in town after a foot chase, Boyer said.
Capt. Mike Pruneau said the investigation was still underway on Tuesday (Feb. 9) and charges could be filed. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crystal City Police at 636-937-4601.
