A crash on southbound I-55 at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Herculaneum overpass briefly shut down traffic in the construction zone, Herculaneum Police Chief Sharia Kyle said.
“A driver struck a yellow water-filled impact barrier causing it to go into the other lane of travel, which then was struck by another vehicle,” Kyle said. “Both lanes were closed while both vehicles were towed. There were no reported injuries.”
She said she did not know how long the highway was shut down, and she did not believe traffic was diverted to Hwy. 61-67.
