Arnold Police are investigating the theft of about 150 feet of copper wire that belongs to AT&T. The cost to replace the wire and repair the damage caused by cutting the bundled wire was estimated at $20,000, police reported.
An AT&T employee reported the theft at about 2:15 p.m. Jan. 9. The employee said someone cut a portion of bundled wire in the previous 48 hours, the report said.
The bundle had been left near the road so it could be installed in the 3300 block of Telegraph Road, according to the report.
As of Jan. 19, the stolen wire had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with knowledge of the theft to call the
