A 29-year-old Arnold man, a convicted felon, recently was arrested for alleged possession of a firearm – a parole violation, says Detective Lt. James Jones of the Arnold Police Department.
Four other people were arrested while Arnold Police were at a home in the 400 block of Constellation to arrest the man for possessing the gun.
At 10:20 a.m. Jan. 4, after receiving a report that the man was at a home and had an assault rifle, Arnold Police got a search warrant and allegedly found both the man and the firearm there, Jones said.
In addition, Arnold Police found a 21-year-old Arnold woman at the home who allegedly was found with drug paraphernalia and a substance believed to be methamphetamine, the report said.
While officers were at the scene, a 26-year-old Hillsboro woman, a 24-year-old Ballwin man and a 26-year-old St. Louis man arrived at the home and were arrested for alleged possession of paraphernalia and meth, according to the report.
The Arnold man was booked and then turned over to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, which wanted him for the parole violation, Jones said.
The two women and other two men were booked and released pending application for warrants.
Depending on results from the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek felony charges against all of them through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Jones said.
