The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the recent theft of a battery and wiring harness from a cable box in the 3000 block of Linhorst Road in the Hillsboro area. Charter Spectrum, which owns the box, got an alert at 3:47 p.m. April 19 about a problem with the box, the report said.
After an employee arrived at the scene and opened the cable box, he discovered equipment missing out of it. The stolen equipment was valued at $400, according to the report.
Cpl. Matthew Moore said April 26 that the stolen equipment had not been recovered and no arrests had been made. Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
