Festus Police are investigating the theft of money from a vending machine in the laundry room at the Festus Garden Apartments on Briar Ridge. The theft happened early April 18, Chief Tim Lewis said.
“Video surveillance shows it happened around 6 a.m.,” he said. “It was a white male in a hooded jacket. He was wearing all black. He forced open the vending machine door, damaged it.”
Lewis said the thief made off with an unknown amount of change from the vending machine. Anyone with information is urged to call Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
