A recent fire claimed a mobile home in the 8500 block of Joey Lynn Lane in Cedar Hill. No one was home when the fire broke out, and it was not known whether someone was living there at the time, said Chief Mick Fischer of the Cedar Hill Fire Protection District.
He said the district received a call at 8:41 p.m. March 7 about the blaze, and crews arrived at the scene by 8:50 p.m.
“The mobile home was about 70 percent involved,” Fischer said. “The fire was under control at 9:26 p.m.”
He said the home was a total loss.
“The cause is undetermined, but not considered suspicious, he said.
Fischer said firefighters remained on the scene until 10:19 p.m.
He said the Eureka, High Ridge, Hillsboro and Goldman fire protection district helped with the call, and the Rock Township Ambulance District and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
