The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of two catalytic converters at the Avis car rental business, 4039 Jeffco Blvd., south of Arnold. The converters were cut off two box trucks, authorities reported.
Deputies were called on Feb. 17 after it was discovered that converters were cut off a 2023 Ford E-350 and a 2026 Ford E-350. The theft occurred sometime between about 3:30 p.m. Feb. 16 and the morning of Feb. 17, the report said.
An estimated cost to repair the box trucks was not provided.
As of Feb. 20, neither of the converters had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
