A car stolen from outside a home in the 100 block of Pancho Villa Drive in the Hillsboro area in early April was later found in Texas, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. He also reported that a 30-year-old man with a last known address in Hillsboro, as well as a woman, have been arrested in Texas.
Bissell said April 26 that he had no additional information about the suspects.
The car, a 2006 Ford Focus, was located in Corpus Christi, Texas, with a broken window. The owner went to Texas to pick it up, Bissell said.
The victim told authorities he started the vehicle outside his home at about 3:35 a.m. April 4. He said the driver-side door was unlocked and the vehicle was running. When he returned 10 minutes later, it was gone. The car was valued at $12,000.
