Arnold Police are investigating damage to a car while it was parked outside a home in the 2400 block of Starling Airport Road. A phone was stolen from the car, police reported.
It appeared the car was left unlocked since there were no signs it had been broken into, the report said.
A 31-year-old Arnold woman told police she parked her 2002 Honda Accord outside the home at about 9:30 p.m. July 17. And at about 5 p.m. July 18, she discovered her car had been damaged and her iPhone XR was stolen from the car, according to the report.
Wiring to the Accord’s alarm had been damaged in an apparent attempt to steal the car. The damage to the car was estimated at about $460, and the phone was worth about $760, the report said.
As of Aug. 3, the phone had not been recovered and no suspects had been identified, Maj. Clinton Wooldridge said. Anyone with information about the incident should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
