The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at Cedar Hill Health Mart. It appears two men got into the pharmacy, 7032 Hwy. BB, by breaking a glass door and then stole an unknown amount of medication, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The burglary happened at about 2:45 a.m. June 19. Surveillance footage showed two men break in, and they were wearing black clothing, masks and gloves, the report said.

The pharmacy’s alarm did not alert Jefferson County 911 Dispatch after the door was broken, but the business owner said she was alerted on her phone when deputies entered the store after they were called to investigate the incident, according to the report.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to the store at about 7 a.m. when two employees from the neighboring Dollar General reported the broken door. The employees said they didn’t notice the broken door when they arrived at work at about 3:45 a.m., but later, when they were outside the store and an unknown person pointed out the damage, the report said.

As of June 24, the pharmacy had not reported how many medications had been stolen or the estimated value of the medication. The Sheriff’s Office also did not have an estimate for the damage to the door, the Sheriff’s Office said.

As of June 24, none of the stolen medications had been recovered, and the men seen in the surveillance video had not been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
