A bullet struck the front door of a home in the 6000 block of Old Lemay Ferry Road in Imperial, and one of the panes on the double-pane glass door was shattered. A man was inside the home at the time but was not hurt, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The victim told deputies he was playing video games in the living room at about 9:30 p.m. July 4, when he heard what he believed was a gunshot. He said he opened the front door, discovered one pane of glass was broken and found a bullet on the front porch, the report said.

As of July 7, the Sheriff’s Office had not identified the person who fired the shot, spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
