The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a 25-year-old St. Louis man who allegedly assaulted his 23-year-old brother and his brother’s girlfriend at a home in the 700 block of Shangri-La in the Fenton area on Sunday (March 6).
The female victim, 27, is the suspect’s former girlfriend, said Maj. Ralph Brown of the Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office also is seeking an accomplice in the incident, a 20-year-old Fenton man, Brown said.
The 25-year-old suspect allegedly showed up at the home on Shangri-La at about 4 a.m. on Sunday and assaulted the woman, who was struck in the left eye, Brown said.
During that incident, the victim’s pit bull attacked the suspect, biting him, so he left and went to an area hospital, Brown said.
Later, at 12:30 p.m., the suspect allegedly showed up again, along with the 20-year-old man and two other unidentified men, Brown said.
The four arrived in a white Buick, and the 25-year-old brother, along with one of the other men, allegedly entered the home before the woman ordered them out, Brown said.
They left the home, but the 25-year-old asked to speak to his brother outside.
According to the woman, after the younger brother agreed and stepped outside, the 25-year-old began hitting him with a hammer, Brown said.
Then, the 20-year-old accomplice allegedly got a barbecue utensil and struck the younger brother with it, Brown said.
In the meantime, the woman allegedly saw one of the unknown men go to the car and get a handgun, so she and the younger brother went back into the home and tried to close the front door, but the older brother and his 20-year-old accomplice forced their way through it and into the home, Brown said.
The woman reported that while the two suspects were inside, the older brother grabbed her by the hair, dragged her out of the home and into the street and took her cell phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 valued at $700, Brown said.
Eventually, the older brother, the 20-year-old accomplice and the other two men left in the Buick, with the cell phone, Brown said.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, and the male victim was transported by ambulance to an area hospital, Brown said.
As of Tuesday afternoon (March 8), the cell phone was still missing, and neither of the suspects had been taken into custody, he said.
In addition to assault, the Sheriff’s Office wants the men for burglary, stealing and property damage, Brown said.
Anyone with information about the suspects’ whereabouts or the case is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
