A 55-year-old Barnhart man was arrested after a tractor-trailer that had been reported stolen in St. Louis County was found outside his home. The man said someone else had left the black 1999 International tractor-trailer at his home on Wedde Road, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Deputies went to his home in Barnhart on March 19 after receiving a report that the stolen tractor-trailer was parked there. The homeowner said the tractor-trailer had been delivered to his home by someone else, but he did not identify the person who allegedly left the truck, the report said.
The homeowner was arrested. After he was booked, he was released pending application for warrants. The Sheriff’s Office is seeking a charge against him through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for receiving stolen property, spokesman Grant Bissell said.
