An Arnold woman and a Barnhart boy were injured Friday afternoon, Aug. 18, in a utility vehicle accident on Hwy. ZZ in Franklin County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2 p.m., Ashlea M. Alexander, 40, of Arnold was driving a Polaris side-by-side southeast on the highway, lost control of the UTV and then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn, the report said
She was moderately injured, and the 15-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the UTV, sustained minor injuries, and both were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Washington, according to the report.
The woman and boy were using safety devices, the patrol reported.
The UTV sustained minor damage, the report said.
The highway patrol did not release the boy’s name because he’s a juvenile.
