A 26-year-old Arnold woman has been charged with assault for allegedly knocking down a 64-year-old Arnold woman, who suffered a head injury and three broken ribs, according to court records.
The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Jenna Marie Rodgers with second-degree assault of a special victim, a class B felony punishable by five to 15 years in prison. The alleged victim is considered a special victim because of her age.
A warrant was issued for Rodgers’ arrest on Nov. 22, and she has been released from jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond, according to court documents.
The alleged assault occurred on Aug. 26 in the 500 block of Wren Drive where the two women reportedly live in separate homes on the street. During the alleged attack, Rodgers reportedly hit the older woman, who then fell on the concrete road and was hurt, the probable-cause statement in the case said.
According to court records, Rodgers, who previously lived in Pevely, has pleaded guilty twice to felony receiving stolen property and once to felony possession of a controlled substance. All three of those offenses occurred in 2016 in St. Louis County, and each time, Rodgers’ sentences were suspended and she was placed on five years’ probation.
